  • SUMMER LESSON FEES 2024:

    The summer lesson fees are approximately 10% less per lesson than school-year lessons.

    The 5% sibling discount applies through the summer.

    30-Minute: $40
    45-Minute: $54
    60-Minute: $67


    2024-2025 SESSION FEES & TUITION:  August 26 – May 17
    Annual Registration Fee     (for all new and returning students):
    $50 per student
    $150 per family of three or more students

    Tuition:
    Includes 28 weeks of lessons, 14 group lessons, Stage Days, and any other group performances.  Siblings receive a 5% Sibling Discount.

    30-Minute Lessons………$143 monthly ($1287 annually)
    45-Minute Lessons…...….$190 monthly ($1710 annually)
    60-Minute Lessons……....$237 monthly ($2133 annually)

    Piano Accompanist Fee:  $25 for a solo performed on an SAOW program. Fee includes a rehearsal and a performance.
    (Fees for solo recitals outside the regular SAOW schedule are determined by the accompanist.)


    ADDITIONAL CLASSES
    Please confer with your child’s teacher concerning enrollment. There are 7 classes per semester / 14 classes per year.  Siblings receive a 5% Sibling Discount.

    Beginning Early Readers:  $32 monthly
    Advanced Early Readers:  $35 monthly
    Music Theory & Beginning Chamber Music:  $35 monthly
    Chamber Music:  $40 monthly
    Chamber Music for non-SAOW students:  $40 monthly / $25 Registration Fee



    2024-2025 Nine Equal Monthly Payments:

    The total tuition is divided into nine equal monthly payments.  (Not every month has the same number of lessons due to holidays, but the nine equal monthly payments account for the total as described above.)


    Make-up Lesson Policy Reminder:
    There will be no make-up lessons unless the teacher is at fault for missing.  However, lessons may be rescheduled if it makes sense for the teacher and family.

    There are twenty-eight (28) private lesson weeks in this session.  In addition, there is one week at the end of each semester that is designated for make-up lessons.  Please keep this and the make-up lesson policy in mind when scheduling with your teacher.



  • Make listening to great classical music a part of your home environment. Play the Suzuki CDs or digital recordings for your child every day. Parents, read Nurtured by Love by Shinichi Suzuki. After reading Nurtured by Love, please contact Amanda Schubert again to schedule a meeting for you, your child, and teacher, before starting lessons. (suzukiacademyofwaco@gmail.com)

  • After contacting SAOW, reading Nurtured by Love, and discussing the method in an initial meeting, the parent education continues throughout study, guided by the teacher. The parent attends each lesson and is guided in home practice.

  • Yes! Over the long term, as the child progresses and learns how to practice, he becomes more independent. Your teacher will guide you through this process. But even as students become independent in practice, parents remain supportive by attending lessons and performances, and by maintaining a positive environment.
